So happy

September 28th, 2006 (10:24 am)
cheerful

current location: Home
current mood: cheerful
current song: China Girl - David Bowie

I finally feel better, so Eddie and I went shopping yesterday. I wanted to see "Lassie" so so bad, but I don't think Ed was so interested. Maybe I can get my mother or my niece to see it with me.

First we had lunch at Panera Bread. I absolutely LOVE Panera Bread, but it's really a little too expensive for frequent dining. I had a Fuji apple chicken salad. I should have had a sandwich. Ed blew the paper sleeve off his straw and it got caught in my hair, so we laughed and laughed.

Then we went to Target and I bought a toy for Bilbo. And we went to Kohl's and bought some stuff. It was a fun day. I love being with Eddie because he makes me laugh.

Last night I made meat loaf and scalloped potatoes and then we sort of watched "The Biggest Loser" -- Amy is so cute!! -- but mostly I looked through my collection of Redbook magazines. Julianne Moore has such pretty skin! Sigh.

Sick

current mood: sick
current song: Morning Has Broken - Cat Stevens

Wow, I have been sick for several days! At first I thought it was allergies but now I think it is the flu or something. Sniffles, achey, just feel blah!

Eddie went out and rented some Ally McBeal DVDs for me so I have been watching them just nonstop. Remember the one where Ally has sex with the guy in the carwash? That just makes my jaw drop open every time. One time I tried to get Ed to do that with me, but he kept getting distracted by the brushes smacking against the windows.

The characters on Ally McBeal were just so quirky and fun. I kind of miss that. Do not try to tell me that the characters on The Practice are like that, too, because the ones on that show are just totally unbelievable. I could relate to some of the characters on Ally McBeal and I miss it. Ed was so sweet to rent these DVDs for me. And Bilbo has watched every one with me!

Rain rain rain

restless

current location: Home
current mood: restless
current song: Angie Baby - Helen Reddy

What a gray and rainy day! Even when I wouldn't normally do something outdoors, weather like this makes me feel trapped inside. And Bilbo does not like to go out in the rain! Oh, no!

Maybe I will go shopping anyway. I really want a Hello Kitty toaster. And I could stop at Blimpie's for a quick bite.

Work work work!

September 17th, 2006 (03:27 pm)
tired

current location: Home
current mood: tired
current song: Straight Outta Compton - N.W.A.

Eddie and I both had to work all weekend. Well, I only had to work four hours each day at Cracker Barrel, but Ed had to work a lot more at his job. Sometimes when he works so much I get lonely at home, but right now I am working on a new project where I applique a vinegar bottle, fill it with Plaster of Paris and turn it into a lamp!

I think I will try to make Mexican lasagna for dinner. I live for corn.

Cutie pie!

September 15th, 2006 (11:44 am)
pensive

current location: Lanai
current mood: pensive
current song: Sempre sempre - Andrea Boccelli

We just saw the cutest boy at Arby's! He was probably about 6 with red hair and just the way he said, "Some more horsey sauce please," just made me smile. I am still smiling. Ed was concerned that the boy was not in school, but I told him to shut up and order me another apple turnover. (I was just joking when I told him to shut up, but I do like the apple turnovers better than the cherry turnovers.)

Sometimes seeing cute little kids makes me want to have children of my own, but then I remember what a rotten cesspool our world is and am content with my sweetest Bilbo. Did I show you my new purse?

Crazy funny cuckoo

September 15th, 2006 (09:44 am)
thirsty

current location: Post office
current mood: thirsty
current song: Hold the Line - TOTO

I am in line at the post office while Ed waits out in the car with our cocker spaniel, Bilbo. I am shipping the hand-crocheted afghan I sold on eBay and the guy behind me looks just like Corky from "Life Goes On." I want to say something to him, but he is busy reading some Sidney Sheldon novel. I can't make out the title, but I don't recognize the book cover. Jaclyn Smith was so pretty in "Rage of Angels." Oh, it's my turn at the counter. Love ya, Ed!
